Earlier this week the last of the scenes were being shot for season 5 of Outlander. During one food break, Cesar Domboy was caught filling his face. It was the last of the retakes and clean up filming at the end of the last block. Along with this, the official rest of the season’s casting was announced.
One of the speculations we earlier reported was confirmed. Young Paul J. Gormand had been cast a few weeks back, and now confirmed, that he is playing the Beardsley twins. The actor is a bit old for the age the twins are in the book, however the writers may have decided to bring the age up a few years for the story arch coming in book 6, A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Special effects can make it very believable, the twins have two different personalities. It’s not an easy task to play twins Josiah and Kezzie as a single actor while filming. Bronwyn James plays Fanny Beardsley.
Chris J Donald returns as Phillip Wylie with a longer and more in-depth, annoying story arch with Claire.
We were also given the names of the Brown family actors. For those who have not read the book, The Fiery Cross, this storyline looked to be one storyline they may drop or the writers could move to next season. However, the Browns do come into play in book 6 again so keeping to the book makes some sense. The actors playing the Browns are Ned Dennehy (Peaky Blinders, Good Omens) as Lionel, Chris Larkin as Richard, with Anna Burnett as Alicia, being wooed by Isiah Morton, Jon Tarcy.
