Well we are in to week two of the new series, Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip With Sam and Graham, with Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish. So far, so good. We see lots of amazing Scottish countryside, that just makes you want to have a tantrum over travel restrictions. Or makes you that much more determined to get back to Scotland.
The first two episodes went from “Food and Drink” to “Scottish Sports”, and a few things in between. The sport episode just shows you how much manly challenging these two do to one another, the jabbing and ribbing, and the gratuitous clips from Outlander. In episode two, Sam challenges Graham to several sports, and surprisingly, or not, Graham is much better at throwing a hammer than Sam. Very competitive these two are. And how two such big personalities could fit in the wee RV is amazing, it must be like a TARDIS on the inside.
Next week it’s “Song and Dance”, time to hit the cultured road of Scotland. Hope you can join us and have some repast from the Outlander Droughtlander.
Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip With Sam and Graham Sundays on Starz®, Amazon and Amazon UK.
After all the costume fittings and table reads get ready for the first block of filming, it’s a go. Watch this production video where Starz is trying to help us survive Droughtlander 6. Several actors have Twitter and Instagram that they are excited to be officially going forward.
While there will be a transition period, it looks like Tall Ships Productions will be sailing to Disney + and have left Sony Television. Moore and Davis will still produce Outlander Season 6 at the very least, however they have now signed multi-year contracts with the Disney + and Disney 20th Television companies.
What does this mean for Outlander. As we already know that we have new set designer after Jon Gary Steele left to go work on the Sandman Series for Netflix. More on that when details become available. Matt Roberts is still running the show, but it looks like there may be a few more shifts on the horizon.
What does this mean for story telling? Without Lord John Grey this season, David Berry hinting he had not been asked to come back, LJG is in the book “Breath of Snow and Ashes” as is young William Ransom, Jamie’s son. We’ll see if we are heading for surprises, as we know many storylines have been moved about before.
