Will Duncan Lacroix Cameo in Outlander Season 6 or 7?

While many of us die-hard Murtagh fans were dreading, but not surprised at the fate of our beloved underdog in Season 5, many have been speculating that the other-worldly time travelling show may have a Murtagh moment pop up or two in coming seasons. Ghosts of Outlander? We were, after all, treated to Jamie’s ghost in episode 1 of the series, and Diana Gabaldon has hinted we may revisit his character in memory as Jamie shapes up for battle again. She has also said she will be including him in one of her bump-out novels, a prequel to Outlander.

What scenarios have you played out for the Murky One of Deep Waters? Envisioning him coming to Jamie before the various battles of the American Revolutionary War was indeed in the books, however with the Outlander writer’s room modding books to meet the demands of onscreen and now post Covid, will there be room? They do like to dangle the what ifs on us, so we are keeping our fingers crossed.

Recently Duncan posted himself in longish hair again, and we all know that he loves to clip off his hippie look. He was posting from the HIghlands during the last of the filming last month. Of course hanging with McTavish again…wait a minute. Hmmmm. They have been keeping all locations under tighter wraps and with Covid and drawing large crowds, it’s no wonder.

What say you? Bring him back as a ghost in the mists before one of the battles leading up to the Revolution? Dreams of Jamie when he is troubled about losing Claire? (Warning, there are some spoilers with the new season it’s hard to not talk about.) What do you think?
