New York City Comic Con 2022, October 6-9th at the Javits Center

Diana Gabaldon will return to New York Comic Con in October. She will be joined by Sam Heughan, David Berry, and Duncan Lacroix. Good thing she’s one tough author. These three actors let loose on New York? The last time Duncan and David were together in NY, some not so stealth signing of copies of Gabaldon’s Outlander books at shops in NYC made a few fans very happy.

Sam Heughan will have first-time small meet and greets at the Con. Check here for availability, selling out quick!

There’s a meet-and-greet pricing for people without tickets to NYCC 2022. Prices vary but run rather high. The Sassanach Tier is sold out.

Please note: the only Photo Op and Autographs available for Sam Heughan are in the tiered packages or in a group Outlander Photo Op session. Duncan LaCroix and David Berry will have Photo Ops and Autographs available through Epic Photo Ops starting Wednesday, August 31 at 1:00 PM ET.

Outlandish Vancouver Rescheduled To January 21-23, 2022

Screen Shot 2021-12-07 at 4.56.09 PM

Outlandish Vancouver rescheduled the convention to be on January 21-23, 2022 at the Doubletree by Hilton at Sea Tac, next to the airport.

The reasons for the rescheduling: Several actors went into production. So it’s bittersweet, but good in a way. So prepare for some chilly climes. Enjoy.

Guests so far (if not called in for filming season 7) Sophie Skelton, César Domboy, Richard Rankin, and Lauren Lyle.

Special Guests: Duncan Lacroix and Steven Cree

Bronze tickets are available and all photo ops are purchased separately here.

Always a bonus in our eyes, Duncan Lacroix is joining as a bonus guest at Outlander Vancouver’s Seattle Adventure October 22-24, 2021. It was revealed earlier this week that Duncan will join, however his autographs are not included in the ticket pricing for the event. You will need to add on for his autographs.

Duncan joins César Domboy, Lauren Lyle, Tim Downie, and Sophie Skelton at the DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport. Please check out their Facebook Page for details

Note: There will be in person and virtual parties. Keep an eye on the Shopify page for details on virtual parties.

Last and never in the least bit afraid to say so, is fan favorite Tim Downie, who seems to be making the Outlander Con circuit for this post Covid con season. He will be at both Outlandish Vancouver (Seattle) and Sasnak City (Kansas City). Hopefully you will get to have one of his readings of great children’s stories just like he shared with us during Covid lockdown on Instagram.

Of course not to be missed, Tim Downie has just interviewed on Craig Parkinson’s (Misfits, Line of Duty, Endeavor, A Great Night Out) podcast The Two Shot Podcast, which you can watch here. Actors on acting and no fluff. Please consider a donation here: https://linktr.ee/twoshotpod

UPDATE: Where’s My Autograph From Outlander Wizard World Virtual Panels?

You may well be wondering like many of us are, where the heck your signed autograph from May 5, 2020, Virtual Panel is? After over a month of inquiries, and emails saying they are working on it, I may have a solid lead. Have you got your videos? We heard that these were delivered to most.

While we all suspected COVID-19 pandemic shipping had something to do with it, we had no idea that Wizard World had not even got the photos to the UK based actors, Colin McFarlane, Duncan Lacroix, Ed Speleers, Tim Downie, and others. I finally got some more solid clues this week. I received an email back from them, stating that they had finally hired a UK employee to ship the photos to, and who would be contacting the actors to have their photos delivered to them for signing. It’s looking like at least another 4-6 weeks of wait.

While I appreciate that Wizard World was trying to make up for the fact that their conventions had to be canceled, letting people know in a timely manner that delays were going to happen. While most of us have realized that this COVID-19 thing is delaying many things, I have been getting shipments from the UK during the whole pandemic. Albeit there is an extra 10-15 days on the 10 days transit, the vendors were proactive in contacting me. Not so at Wizard World.

So, does anyone else out there feel like their money was taken and the fandom was not really respected on this one? If you knew that the pandemic was slowing mail when you set up these virtual panels, why did you not have a plan in place to handle this? I really hate to gripe, but it’s bad enough many of us lost work and could not afford the expensive video packages, and opted for signed autographs. I guess you get what you pay for. Just a warning for upcoming conventions and fests doing Outlander.
